Bad For Business

Playing alone for the first time proved to be quite successful for Don VanPelt last night.  Usually accompanied by his trusty and talented partner, Doug Sibble, VanPelt gave his solo act a shot and played as one at a private party.  While true fans definitely enjoy the Bad For Business duo, the absence of Sibble didn’t dampen the festivities of the evening at all.  VanPelt was able to entertain the crowd in an excellent acoustic fashion, and between showcasing his own vocal talent and with a variety of guest singers he covered quite a bit of musical ground thoughout the evening.  High amounts of alcohol and a low volume for the second mic make this slightly more tolerable for the crowd.

Many new songs appeared in the set list, some alternate versions of old favorites, and several impromptu requests were played, much to delight of the fans.  A beautiful night, full night of music and sing-along, marked the end of a great summer music season and a series of extremely fun outdoor parties.  Rave reviews were heard following the performance.  Fans are hoping that VanPelt will continue to make the music rounds, both with and without the full Bad For Business act.  Chances are Sibble won’t want to miss another show….

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Liverpool, NY, 8/17/08):  There’s nothing like a full moon to make a regular Bad For Business show very interesting.  Bad For Business once again played an awesome show at a private party Saturday night.  Both Don VanPelt and Doug Sibble bared their souls, and fans pooled their resources to show their appreciation.

With guest singers to help out on several songs, there was no covering up the talent on stage.  New additions of Kryptonite and Rock Star have quickly become crowd favorites, while the expected performances of Wanted Dead or Alive, Disarm, Slide, Whiskey Girl, and Wonderwall just get better every time.

It’s no wonder that the bookings are quickly piling up, as Bad For Business delivers a smooth show every time filled with the best songs from every musical genre.  More and more fans are piling up to see their shows.  With several teasers from upcoming new songs, it should be very interesting to see what happens at the next Bad For Business event!   These guys can turn your average party into a very memorable event….
